Privacy Policy
Effective as of March 2026. Last updated: March 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how PeptidePicker (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit peptidepicker.org (the “Site”) and use our services, including our peptide recommendation quiz and related features (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Introduction
PeptidePicker is an educational platform operated by PeptidePicker that helps users explore peptide-related topics through an interactive quiz and receive personalized product or resource recommendations based on their responses. Our Services are intended for adults engaged in research and general wellness education; they are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
This policy applies to information collected through the Site, email communications with us, and any mobile or web experience we operate that links to this policy. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control, including sites you may reach through affiliate or partner links.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use the Services, and limited technical data from your device and browser.
- Quiz responses. When you complete or partially complete our quiz, we collect your answers and selections, which may include your stated health or research goal, your experience level with peptides or related topics, and your priority or preference among options we present. These responses are used to generate recommendations and to improve our matching logic.
- Contact information. If you choose to receive results by email or contact us, we collect the name and email address you provide, and any other details you include in your message.
- Technical data. We automatically receive certain technical information when you access the Site, which may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, general geographic region derived from IP (such as country or city), pages viewed, time and date of access, referring URL or referrer, and similar usage or diagnostic data.
- Session data. We use session identifiers and related data to remember your quiz progress, including partial completions and steps completed before you submit the quiz or request results. This helps us restore your place if you leave and return, and to associate your responses with any email delivery you request.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide quiz recommendations. To process your quiz responses and present personalized suggestions, summaries, or matching results based on the options you select.
- Email recommendation results. To send you the outcomes or follow-up information you request at the email address you provide, and to communicate with you about those results or related service messages (such as delivery confirmations or technical notices).
- Analytics and service improvement. To understand how visitors use the Site, diagnose errors, test features, measure campaign performance, and improve content, user experience, and recommendation quality.
- Fraud prevention and security. To detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, spam, unauthorized access, or other activity that may harm our users, our infrastructure, or the integrity of the Services.
Where required by law, we rely on appropriate legal bases for processing (such as your consent, performance of a contract, or our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services), consistent with applicable regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), where applicable.
4. Data Sharing
We share information only as described in this policy or as permitted or required by law.
- Affiliate partner. When you click a recommendation link that directs you to a partner or supplier, that action may be logged so that any qualifying transaction can be attributed in accordance with our affiliate arrangements. The partner may receive standard technical information typical of web referrals (such as referrer data) and, if you complete a purchase on their site, information they collect under their own privacy policy.
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to host data, run our application, and deliver the Site. This includes, for example, Supabase for authentication, database, and related backend services, and Vercel for deployment, hosting, and edge delivery of our web application. These providers process information on our instructions and are contractually required to implement appropriate safeguards.
- We do not sell personal data. PeptidePicker does not sell your personal information as “sale” is commonly understood under U.S. state privacy laws (including exchanges for monetary or other valuable consideration). We do not sell personal data for targeted advertising lists unrelated to providing the Services.
We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect our rights or safety, or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
5. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS), secure storage practices through our cloud providers, access controls limiting who can view personal data, and monitoring designed to detect misuse. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure; while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation of the Site, including session cookies that maintain your quiz progress and authenticate or persist your session where applicable. We may also use analytics tools that set cookies or use pixels to collect page views, navigation paths, and aggregated usage statistics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may limit quiz continuity or some features.
Where required, we will obtain consent for non-essential cookies or analytics in accordance with local law. For more details about specific tools we use, you may contact us using the information below.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Quiz responses and associated account or session records may be retained for the period needed to provide recommendations, honor your requests, resolve disputes, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Technical logs and analytics may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form for longer periods. When retention is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize information in accordance with our internal schedules and provider capabilities.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. We honor applicable requests in line with governing law.
- Access. You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and, where required, obtain a copy of certain information we hold about you.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions such as legal obligations or legitimate business needs.
- Correction. You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Additional rights. Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and certain U.S. states may have additional rights (such as restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, or opt-out of certain sharing under state law). California residents may have the right to know categories of personal information collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” as defined under California law—we do not sell personal information as described in Section 4.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@peptidepicker.org. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. You may designate an authorized agent under applicable law; we may require proof of authorization. If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at support@peptidepicker.org and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including affiliate partners where you may purchase products or learn more. Those sites have their own privacy practices and terms. We are not responsible for the content, security, or data practices of third-party sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing personal information or making a purchase.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate, such as a prominent notice on the Site or email where we have your address. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, except where your consent is required by law.
